Marching Soilders

This story is not related to me in any case!

This story was related to me by my brother Harlan, who went to the hospital in Rosebud in April, 2012 due to his headaches caused by being hit with a baseball bat in his younger years. After being seen in the ER and then released around 2:00 a.m, he started to walk home as he couldn't get hold of any of the family.

The trip was okay as it is lit well by lights along the road from the hospital. It was when he walked by where the old hospital used to be that he sensed something was amiss. From the turnoff to the empty space where the old hospital once stood, there was no light to speak of. Just what showed from the houses by the bridge, which was further erode

Suddenly, Harlan saw a line of men, at least 18 to 20 of them walking in military shoulder to shoulder with what looked like shovels on all of their left shoulders. They had what looked like caps like those worn by the dwarfs in the kids' story of Snow White. They made no noise whatsoever, but looked in one direction -- west as they marched along the road from a creek on the east side of the bridge.

As the men (if they were men) marched, the dogs came out in full force, barking and yelping, but the marching troops paid no attention! They continued to march until they went out of sight from where Harlan stood paralyzed thinking, This can't be real.

After the paralysis left, he turned and walked the 1-1/2 miles back to the new hospital and sat in the waiting room of the Emergency Room until the sun came up and he was able to walk home. This took place in Rosebud, South Dakota.
