Quija Board : Weirdness at the Psychic Store

Weirdness at the Psychic Store

My friend from work, Laura, asked me if I would come with her to a psychic supply store after our shift. I said sure, and we went in her car.

When we got to the store, she went into a part of the store where they gave individual psychic services, such as tarot readings, palm readings, etc. I stayed in the general part of the store, browsing. I found a clear quartz that I thought I'd buy. I took out my checkbook to pay for the item, and of course I had to show my driver's license for identification to negotiate the check. I put the driver's license back into my wallet, as I always do.

Laura's session with the psychic took a long time, so I browsed through the store several times. I saw a circular Ouija board, a peculiar shape to me. I touched it. Nothing happened. I felt a need to get away from it, and I also remembered to say "goodbye." (I never used a Ouija board before, but I've read that saying "goodbye" is important.) I also vocally said "Goodbye." Above the Ouija board was a mobile, and I noticed it swaying as I said "goodbye" vocally. No big deal, it could have been the air conditioner, right? But I didn't feel any temperature change. Okay, whatever. I went back to the front of the store and made small talk with the clerk. I saw something else I wanted to buy, and I was prepared to write another check. However, strangely, my driver's license wasn't where I last put it. I searched my purse, then asked the store clerk to check if she still had it, but the driver's license was definitely missing. I decided not to make the second purchase. Laura's psychic session finally concluded and we left the store shortly thereafter.

As we drove back to our place of employment, because I left my car at work, we chatted. The radio was not on and the windows were rolled up, and we were on the freeway. On the way to the psychic store, we had no difficulty speaking to each other, but on this way back, we had to basically holler to make ourselves heard. There seemed to be a loud rushing inside the car, as if we had the windows rolled down. But the windows were rolled up. Maybe it was a malfunction of the air conditioner, I thought. Finally, Laura said, do you notice how noisy it is in the car? I don't know what's going on? I said, "Yeah, like it's windy?" She said, "No, I keep on hearing a flute or whistle." I was about to say I didn't hear a flute, but just then I heard in my RIGHT EAR VERY DISTINCTLY ONE FLUTE-LIKE NOTE. I whipped my head around to check that there was NO ONE in the back. I just felt freaked! I said, "Yeah, just now!" And then the rushing wind sound stopped and so did the flute noise. Laura confirmed that she did not have the windows even cracked open, and there was no radio on. She said she never had this happened before. I don’t know what it was, but it did shake us up.

We got to our place of employment, said our good-byes and I got into my car. I drove home. I opened my trunk and took out my day planner. (Remember, I had been taken to the psychic store in my friend's car, I used my driver's license at the store, and I had my day planner in the trunk of the car which was parked at work.) I opened the cover of my day planner, and there was my driver's license! How did that get in there?

When Laura asked me later on if I would go to the psychic store again. I politely and emphatically said, "No thanks."
